IVC started out in the late 1970s under the name of VolkzPartz when founder john Doyle realised it was cheaper to drive to London , stock up on parts for his trusty VW Beetle and drive back than it was to buy them locally in Rotherham where he lived. After a couple of years driving around door to door selling parts to other VW owners John decided to open an outlet in Sheffield and then another one in Rotherham. In 1986 John decided that having opened the two shops in South Yorkshire he would like to expand and open a VW Audi repair centre in Leeds but wanted it under another name IVC (the Independent VW audi Centre). It was at this time that a fresh faced 21 year old named Graham Alderson came on the scene, John took him under his wing and taught him the ways of his company, a year later Mark Elsom joined the team from a Sheffield based independent VW Audi company. In 2001 John decided it was too much travelling up and down to Leeds every day and so offered IVC to Graham and Mark, they took him up on the offer and started to build on the company, investing in time served technicians as the way forward. Many of the staff still remain with us from day one. The staff at IVC have over 190 years of knowledge and experience of VW, Audi, SEAT & Skoda which enables us to offer quality work at sensible cost to you, the customer. All servicing is done at menu cost and we endeavour to keep you mobile on the day your vehicle is booked.
